The making of object 53

Made for the life
around it.

Offcuts with different histories are stacked around a concealed pin and separated by subtle shadow lines. Every edition keeps the same proportion while allowing material variation.

We keep the marks that give the material its identity, then refine every touchpoint so the piece feels resolved in daily use.

Product information

Everything worth knowing.

Materials, care and delivery guidance for a piece intended to stay with you.

A useful heirloom

Quiet character, made visible.

Offcuts with different histories are stacked around a concealed pin and separated by subtle shadow lines. Every edition keeps the same proportion while allowing material variation.

Subtle shifts in grain, colour and texture are part of the material—not imperfections—and ensure no two pieces are exactly alike.

The Old Mil standard

What every piece carries.

Material with memory

Made by hand
